Holiday Schedule
Hi Everyone
I’m closing the studio for a few weeks over the holidays. The week of Dec 14th will be the last week of classes - Sat. Dec 19th is the very last class. I’m offering free classes on Fri. Jan 1st, 2021 (I’ll send out more details later-link to the Facebook event page (Find the page here) so you can begin 2021 with a clear intention for your self-care. The regular class schedule will commence on Sat. Jan 2nd, 2021.
I’m whisking Ben away to a cottage for a few days next week for his 65th birthday and hope to find creative and safe ways to connect with family and friends over the break.
As I write this email, I’m full of gratitude for your ongoing presence in the classes and for welcoming me into your homes via Zoom. Your commitment to your self-care during these trying times is impressive. Teaching has been such an uplifting experience for me, and I’m so appreciative to be able to offer this ancient and sacred healing practice to you.
I’ve attached a 10-minute very gentle hatha yoga video so you can keep up with your practice-just a few sessions a week will keep your body limber and relaxed until you’ll able to return to a full class.
The picture below is a restorative yoga posture called the “legs up pose” and all you need is a chair, couch, bed or wall so you can elevate your legs, wrap yourself in a blanket, cover your eyes with a scarf or towel and be still for 15-20 minutes. This is one of the most soothing and rejuvenating things you can do for yourself during a stressful time.
I’m hoping that you can find peace, solace and comfort this holiday season as it’s bound to be different and challenging. I also hope that you can spend time with your loved ones. Take good care of yourself; get outside every day, find moments of stillness- tune into your breath, stay hydrated, rest, and connect to your yoga practice when you can.
I’m looking forward to seeing you on the mat this week, on Jan 1st and back for the regular schedule beginning on Sat. Jan 2nd, 2021.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and an amazing 2021.
Love and light.
Anita
